UnderCover Presents is a (fairly) quarterly project that selects an influential album to be completely reinterpreted by SF Bay Area musicians. Each song on the track is arranged by a different local band to reflect their unique sound. The mission of UnderCover is to expose adventurous music lovers everywhere to the the Bay's inventive and often crazy community.
Porto Franco took part in the first two installments of Undercover - the tributes to The Velvet Underground & Nico, and Pixie's Doolittle. Since then UnderCover crew re-imagined Joni Mitchell's Blue, Black Sabbath's Paranoid, Radiohead's Kid A. Last we heard, they were working on a Bob Dylan tribute show and album co-presented by the Contemporary Jewish Museum. Go to their website for more.
